Claire has been with the company since 2014, progressing from a research consultant to her current position as a programme director. Claire is an experienced researcher and project manager. She has experience designing and undertaking qualitative and quantitative social research for a number of purposes including evaluation, learning and development, and strategy development.
Claire’s projects cover many areas of social policy and public services, including arts and culture, health and health inequalities and skills and employment. Increasingly, Claire’s projects have focused the intersection between policy areas, such as:
- Creative Health – like our work for East Sussex County Council to evaluate the impact of a ‘creative immersion’ programme on young people’s wellbeing,
- Wider determinants of health – like our research for The Health Foundation to support the co-design process to develop the new Combined Authorities Health Inequalities programme, and our work for the LGA exploring the landscape of national and place-based programmes that support people into work.
- Equality, diversity and Inclusion – with many projects researching the inequalities diverse communities face in areas such access to employment and career progression (like our work for SOLACE exploring EDI in the local government workforce)
Claire has developed a specialism for research and engagement with communities, designing and facilitating the co-design of engagement activities that are tailored to engaging specific resident groups.
Alongside her work with Si, Claire has volunteered for two charities; the Royal British Legion as a case worker in south London and Victim Support as a witness service volunteer at Inner London Crown Court. These experiences have been invaluable to understanding lived experiences of people from different backgrounds, including those who are vulnerable and living in difficult circumstances.
