Geordie joined Shared Intelligence in 2023 with a Upper Second-Class degree in MA(ScoSci) Politics from The University of Glasgow. During his studies, he undertook a dissertation investigating the United Kingdom’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. He performed a dual analysis that comprised of a critical discourse analysis to identify whether COVID-19 had been securitised and a process tracing analysis to explore whether British exceptionalism impacted the UK’s response to COVID-19.
Geordie has prior experience as a data analyst, which has equipped him with a range of technical and transferable skills. He has a passionate interested in social policy, particularly in the areas of public health, education and poverty reduction.
Geordie’s current projects include work on the development of Basildon’s Housing Strategy, as well as providing support to Gloucestershire County Council in producing their Economic Strategy.
