Manav Gupta is a senior consultant with extensive experience in research, evaluation, and engagement. He has project managed and led evaluation work for South London Gallery’s Open Plan programme, focusing on the experiences of those who participate in the programme. This involved conducting interviews, focus groups, and designing and delivering creative workshops with participants of Art Block, the gallery’s after-school creative club. Manav also led a 10-year evaluation of Sadler’s Wells National Youth Dance Company (NYDC), exploring the programme’s impact on its various cohorts over the years. The evaluation highlighted the skills and development NYDC provided to its students (aged 16 – 24), as well as areas where the programme could improve or expand its support. This work included interviews and focus groups with current and former participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of their experiences.
Manav has significant experience in analysing findings from desk research, workshops and interviews, identifying key themes, and presenting these insights in clear and impactful final reports. His work includes research for the Local Government Association on national and place-based approaches to addressing economic inactivity, a project that exemplified these skills.
Manav has organised and facilitated workshops, including recent work with Richmond and Wandsworth Council to assess their community capacity-building approach. These workshops will inform the development of actionable recommendations and a plan for the council to implement. In addition to his qualitative engagement work, Manav has project managed numerous projects for clients such as the Greater London Authority (GLA) and the Local Government Association (LGA).
