Carol is an Associate with Shared Intelligence, leading on research and evaluation. She brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles in government, strategic organisations and academia. Her specialisms include economic and community regeneration, equalities, health and wellbeing, and partnership working.
Prior to joining Shared Intelligence, Carol was Head of Research and Development at the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit (now part of the Department for Communities and Local Government), where she commissioned research and evaluations and improved small area data and analytical tools for local partnerships. She also worked as a Strategic Policy Advisor at the Audit Commission, specialising in regeneration and equalities; as a Principal Research Associate at the Local Government Centre at the University of Warwick, where she carried out research in relation to older people for Government; and in a range of management roles in local authorities in the West Midlands, including as Head of Area Co-ordination in Coventry, where she established multi-agency partnership working to improve the quality of life of people living in the most deprived communities.
Carol holds a MA in Economics from Warwick University and a BSc (Joint Hons.) Economics and Statistics from Southampton University.
